Class A Storage Tank Operator

Class A Storage Tank Operators have primary responsibility for the operation and maintenance of one or more underground storage tank (UST) system. Entry Salary  $25.90/hr  Average Salary  $34.03/hr    Requirements     1.Pass the International Code Council exam on Wyoming State Specific Storage Tank Laws - ICC Test W-6.     2.Person must be employed by the company that owns the system.     Restrictions  False reporting.  False licensing.    School Located in Wyoming  Petroleum Testers LLC - Cheyenne - http://ptllc.org/  The Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) also offers training. Class B Storage Tank Operators

Class B Storage Tank Operators have day-to-day responsibility for the onsite operation and maintenance of up to 15 underground storage tank (UST) systems.  Entry Salary  $25.90/hr  Average Salary  $34.03/hr    Requirements     1.Pass the International Code Council (ICC) test for Class B UST System Operator - BU and/or the ICC test for Wyoming AST System Operators - ICC Test W-5.     2.In lieu of both of the above tests, the ICC test on Wyoming State Specific Storage Tank Laws - ICC Test W-6 is acceptable.    Restrictions  False reporting.  False licensing.    School Located in Wyoming  Petroleum Testers LLC - Cheyenne - http://ptllc.org/  The Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) also offers training. Storage Tank Installers (Underground Or Above Ground)

Storage Tank Installers install tanks for gas stations and other types of storage tanks for both private and commercial use.   Entry Salary  $20.31/hr  Average Salary  $21.78/hr     Requirements     1.Pass the International Code Council (ICC) test on Wyoming State Specific Storage Tank laws.     2.Have a current certificate for Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response.     3.Underground Storage Tank (UST) Installers - pass the ICC UST Installation and Retrofitting test.     4.Above-ground Storage Tank (AST) Installers - pass the ICC AST Installation and Retrofitting test.    Restrictions  False reporting.  False licensing.    School Located in Wyoming  There are no schools for Storage Tank Installers in Wyoming. Employers typically provide the necessary training. Applicants may review the information in the exam outline.    License  All Above-Ground Storage Tank Installers and Underground Storage Tank Installers must be licensed in Wyoming by the Department of Environmental Quality.    Examination  Examinations are administered by the International Code Council (ICC).    Fees  ICC exam $80.00

Tank & Line Testers

Tank and Line Testers check the connections and distribution of substances from storage tanks.    Entry Salary  $18.32/hr  Average Salary  $25.59/hr    Requirements     1.Pass the International Code Council (ICC) test entitled Tank Tightness Testing - ICC Test U-3.     2.Pass the manufacturers training certification for the type of tank and line tests performed.    Restrictions  False reporting.  False licensing.    School Located in Wyoming  There is no school for Tank and Line Testers in Wyoming. Applicants use ICC materials to study for the exam.    License  Tank and Line Testers are licensed in Wyoming by the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ).    Examination  The Tank Tightness Testing - ICC Test U-3 is administered by the ICC. Contact the manufacturer for training certification for specific types of tanks and lines.    Fees  Contact ICC and manufacturers for any fees associated with exams and certification.

Water Well Pump Installation Contractor

Water well pump installation contractor means any person who is in the business of installing pumping equipment in water wells for compensation    Entry Salary  $18.30/hr  Average Salary  $21.62/hr   Requirements     1.Must be at least 18 years old.     2.Pass exams prescribed by the Board.     3.Be of good moral character and repute.     4.Have proof of current coverage under a general liability insurance policy providing not less than $300,000.    Restrictions  Fraud or misrepresentation in obtaining a license.  Has not been convicted of a felony within five years of application for a license.    Training in Wyoming  Wyoming Water Well Association,   http://wywaterwell.org/  Contact the Board for additional training providers    License  Water Well Pump Installation Contractors are licensed by the Wyoming Water Well Contractors Licensing Board.    Examination  Three separate exams are required by the Board. All exams are given at times and places determined by the Board. Contact the Board for times and locations of exams.    Fees  Application (resident) $25.00  Application (nonresident)  $100.00  License and Registration (for three years)  $200.00 per license area  Renewal (for three years) $200.00 per license area  Exam fees:     Wyoming-specific exam $75.00   Other exams if taken through National Ground Water Association $75.00 per exam for NGWA members     Other exams if taken through National Ground Water Association $275.00 for 2 exams for non-NGWA members plus $75.00 for each additional exam
