Amarillo College has highly regarded, fully accredited programs that can take you there. Seventy percent of nurses in the area have attended Amarillo College. Students in the nursing program take classes in contemporary, mediated classrooms within newly renovated facilities. The Nursing Resource Center (NRC) provides an environment for students to learn nursing skills in hospital-like settings. The clinical simulation laboratory within the NRC provides unique opportunities to practice patient-centered nursing care using simulated scenarios. Nursing students at AC obtain clinical experiences at various local hospitals, clinics, doctors offices, long-term care facilities, and schools throughout the community.
