Community Dental Health Coordinator
New to Big Sandy, the Community Dental Health Coordinator Program teaches students to work within a community to provide oral health education in a variety of settings. Coordinators are typically recruited from the communities similar to those they will serve. This is a one year program, and more information about the program can be found on the American Dental Association CDHC website.
Length of Program
You can earn an associate in applied science degree in two years if you maintain full-time status.

Program Locations
The Dental Hygiene Program and Dental Assisting Program are offered on the Prestonsburg Campus of Big Sandy Community and Technical College in Prestonsburg (Johnson Building) and the satellite location on the Laurel Campus of Somerset Community College (Building 1) in London. Full-time and part-time faculty and staff are available at each location to provide instruction.
