Cape Cod Community College (4Cs) proudly serves as an official Training Institute for the Office of Emergency Medical Services, offering a comprehensive Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) course that can jumpstart your career, enhance your resume, or pave the way to becoming a paramedic or healthcare professional.

EMTs are the unsung heroes of emergency response. They are the first to arrive at the scene, making their role critical in saving lives. A well-trained and educated EMT is an invaluable asset to any community, and the demand for their skills is ever-growing. EMTs find themselves working in diverse, thrilling environments, including hospitals, ambulances, and public events.

Your Destination for an EMT Certificate!

In our intensive 150-hour course, you will acquire essential skills, including:

- Basic life-saving techniques

- CPR training and certification

- First-aid proficiency

- Rapid and efficient response to medical emergencies

Upon successfully completing the program, you will earn official EMT certification, granting you the credentials to make a real difference in the field of emergency medical services.

Convenient Locations and Flexible Scheduling

Our EMT courses are offered at two convenient locations:

West Barnstable (Main Campus):
Classes: Mon, Wed, & Thurs evenings, 5:30pm - 9:30pm, with labs typically held on Thurs evenings.

Martha’s Vineyard:
Classes: Mon & Wed evenings, 5:30pm - 9:30pm, and Saturdays from 9am - 1pm, with labs primarily on Saturdays.

How to Register

Enrolling in our EMT course is straightforward. Here's what you need to do:

  1. Download the Course Registration Form from our website.

  2. Complete the form, ensuring you fill in all relevant information.

  3. In the "ADD Course" section, choose your preferred location:

    • For West Barnstable: Select Course Number EMS 101 – Section 063 – Course EMT. Classes are held on Monday & Wednesday from 5:30pm - 9:30pm, with an additional Thursday session from 5pm - 10pm.

    • For Martha’s Vineyard: Choose Course Number EMS 101 – Section 064 – Course EMT. Classes run on Monday & Wednesday evenings from 5:30pm - 9:30pm and on Saturdays from 9am - 1pm.

  4. Sign the form electronically and save it to your device.

  5. Email the completed form to registration@capecod.edu. If you're unable to sign the form electronically, simply send it as an attachment, granting permission to register you for the EMS class.
