Upon sucessful completion of the training,students receive the following certifications from ALL of the following:

Diver/Tender Certification from Association of Diving Contractors International (ADCI) -- A certification, widely recognized both throughout the United States and Internationally as the certification for employment as a commercial diver
Diving Certification from Association of Commercial Diving Educators (ACDE) -- An additional diving certification, recognized as diver training by IMCA.
Certificate of successful completion of Topside Welding for Commercial Divers from CDA, in accordance with American Welding Society (AWS) standards -- This training provides the foundation necessary to seek a career as a commercial diver
Certificate of successful completion of Underwater Welding from CDA -- An additional qualification provides the skills necessary to weld underwater*
Certification from PEC Safety in Basic Safety / SafeLand & SafeGulf**
First Aid, CPR, AED & O2 Provider Training (includes Oxygen First Aid, AED use, First Aid for Hazardous Marine Life, CPR First Aid and Bloodborne Pathogens) -- Required for all employees in the industry
HazMat/Hazwoper from Occupational Health and Safety Administration OSHA -- Required for all employees in the industry
Certificate of successful completion of Offshore Survival from CDA**
Certificate of successful completion of NDT from CDA, meeting the standards set forth by American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) for Levels I & II Visual Inspection, Magnetic Particle and Ultrasonic Thickness for underwater use**
Credentials from National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) for Basic Rigging and for Core Curriculum, including Hand and Power Tools and Safety**

The Air Mixed Gas Commercial Diver Program does not qualify a student to become an underwater welding specialist. Additional training is required for certification. Students may earn an underwater welding certification, under AWS standards D3.6. after they becomes a certified commercial diver. The Underwater Welding certification is recognizes by the AWS Underwater Welding Qualifications for Class C fillet weld to AWS D3.6M standard.

This course is not an entry-level qualification, but a certification beyond a qualified profession such as EMT/DMT. This program meets the NBDHMT requirements to work as a Certified Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT) in a clinical environment and sit for the Board examination after 480 hours of documented preceptorship.

The Dive Medic Program teaches the kind of medical procedures used by emergency rooms and other physicians to revive patients and save lives. Such techniques include advanced resuscitation and cardiac techniques that open blocked airways, relieve life-endangering buildup of pressure in the chest cavity and lungs, replace lost body fluids and blood, and close open wounds. Decompression in a hyperbaric chamber at CDA Technical InstituteThese programs also teach diver medic technicians how the body responds physiologically to varying underwater pressures. That knowledge is used in two ways. First, it allows diver medic technicians to treat diving-related injuries such as decompression sickness—a possibly life-threatening condition that occurs when divers surface from the depths of the ocean too quickly. Second, knowing how the body responds to changing pressure allows dive medic technologists to bring injured divers to the water surface safely and treat their injuries until they can be evacuated. Small classes allow for individualization in an environment that fosters intellectual exchange and practical, hands-on instruction.

To this end, the Academy is committed to continuing to develop and maintain strong partnerships with businesses in the region and making use of state-of-the art technology and training resources within the industry.

Designed around an intense 26-week program, our students will face unique challenges that will keep them motivated and learning new skills key to being successful in the industry. Tasks and training will include three major educational areas, including Field Training, Academics, and Skills and Certifications.

What’s more, as a CDA Voltage Lineworker graduate, you’ll be a sought-after tradesman that will have the opportunity to fill an entry-level position with companies all over the country. Overall, the Power Lineworker Program allows driven students to start down a successful, rewarding, and meaningful career path in as little as 7 months.

Supported by a hands-on teaching staff that will provide them the attention and focus they deserve to succeed, students who complete the entire program will be equipped with the knowledge, skillset, and certifications required to be a certified power lineworker.
