Physical Therapist Assistant


The physical therapist assistant (PTA) program at CGTC is an occupational program preparing students to administer physical therapy interventions under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist. Didactic knowledge preceding off campus clinical affiliations prepares the student for entry level foundational skills in functional training, wound management, manual therapy, physical agents, mechanical agents, and therapeutic exercise. Students develop professionalism and a commitment to lifelong learning which prepares them for a career in physical therapy.
