Chipola is one of the premier firefighting academies in the state and has been recognized by the Florida State Fire College and the Florida Fire Training Directors Association as a Training Center of the Year.
For the new recruit, we offer a 4.5-month day class that combines both fire 1 and fire 2. Certified volunteer firefighter may join existing classes to obtain their certificate of compliance as a firefighter 2.
