What is Electrical Engineering Technology A.A.S.?
The Electrical Engineering Technology A.A.S. provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to secure gainful employment in manufacturing industries, telecommunications, and healthcare, to name a few. Skills emphasized in the program include but not limited to: AC and DC circuitry, programmable logic controller programming, robotics programming, biomedical equipment calibration and repair, and maintenance in an advanced automation setting.
This is a technical degree designed for immediate employment in advance manufacturing and is not designed for transfer although some four year institutions may accept part of the course work toward the bachelor’s degree.
What will I learn?
Upon completion of this program, Students will be able to do the following:

- The graduate will have mastered the use of electrical measurement equipment, including digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and various power meters.
- The graduate will have demonstrated the ability to mathematically analyze AC and DC circuitry.
- The graduate will have demonstrated a thorough understanding of basic electronic principles.
- The graduate will have demonstrated a thorough understanding of digital circuitry with a basic knowledge of ladder logic.
- The graduate will have demonstrated the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.

- A student is encouraged to apply early for financial aid. He/she must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the FAFSA Renewal Application as soon as possible after October 1 to ensure that the Financial Aid Office receives the Institutional Student Information Record and other documents prior to the priority deadline. July 1st is the priority deadline for applying for the fall semester and December 1st for the spring semester.

GEN 1010 can be taken as a two week bootcamp that runs for 3 hours per day for the 10 weekdays prior to the first day of class. ENST 1300 - If you have Math Learning Support requirements, then you may want to register for MATH 0300 to satisfy these requirements, especially if you are in a program that requires PHYS 1030 or CHEM 1010. FINANCIAL AID ALERT - If you receive aid, the priority deadline to apply or renew your FAFSA and submit any requested documentation could be near. Be sure to check your Cleveland State email daily for deadlines, announcements, and award updates for the academic year. GRADUATION - Apply to graduate by completing the online Intent to Graduate form. This can be found under the Graduation Tab within the Registration Tools and Forms on Cougarnet. You will need to schedule to take your exit exam and/or program test at mycs.cc/testing. These will be taken in the Testing Center. CONGRATULATIONS! After you complete this semester's courses and maintain an overall 2.0 GPA, you will be a Cleveland State Graduate! |

What is Electrical/Electronics Fundamentals Technical Certificate?
Electrical/Electronics Fundamentals Certificate provides the student with basic necessary fundamentals in electrical controls used in automated manufacturing industries. Skills emphasized in the certificate include AC and DC circuitry, test equipment fundamentals, applied math, power distribution, electronic theory and application, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
This certificate is an embedded certificate designed to develop a fundamental skillset and is embedded in the A.A. S. Electrical Engineering Technology degree for those who wish to go on to pursue advanced training and their associate degree.
