The Education associate of applied science degree program is a series of courses designed to prepare students for a position in education. The program emphasizes a combination of education theory and practical application as well as general core, science, and mathematics competencies necessary for successful employment. Graduates have qualifications to be employed in educational settings including Head Start, Georgia Pre-K programs, and public school teaching assistant positions. Graduates of this program will receive one of two areas of S.T.E.M. specialization: mathematics or science.

- Math Concentration (16 hrs)
- Science Concentration (16 hrs)
- Elementary Education Specialization (20 hrs)
Entrance Requirements
- Submit a completed application;
- High School diploma or equivalent required for Graduation: Yes
- Age Requirement: NA
- Submit official high school/high school equivalent transcripts, if applicable;
- Submit official college transcripts, if applicable;
- Satisfy Placement Testing requirements.
Area I - Language Arts/Communications — 3 Hours
Area II - Social/Behavioral Sciences — 3 Hours
Area III - Natural Sciences/Mathematics — 3 Hours

Area IV - Humanities and Fine Arts — 3 Hours
Humanities/Fine Arts (3 hrs) — Hours
General Education Core Electives — 15 Hours

Occupational Courses — 17 Hours
EDUC 2110, 2120, and 2130 require 10 hours of field internship.
Mathematics Concentration — 16 Hours
