Computer Information Technology

Configuring, programming and securing IT systems

Tech evolves. The ways that people, companies, governments and industries use tech changes. As it evolves, it grows.

You can grow with it. What’s great about this agile, evolving area is that you can start with a simple role and a short-term certificate. Keep learning, add certificates, add degrees and find the role where your strengths match what the world needs.

We offer certificates that stack together into a specialty—and you can stack them together into a specialized associate degree. You don’t need to know where you want to finish; you just need to know where to start, here at CLC.

Why study Computer Information Technology with us?

Learn how tech works in the world and build your tech career your way. Start with a certificate, complete a career degree or aim for a bachelor’s or beyond.

Work with your Academic Success Advisor to plan your transfer to a bachelor’s program at one of 30+ 4-year partners. Or attend the University Center of Lake County where you earn your Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Management Information Systems.

Your instructors know you by name—not by number. At CLC, the instructors are teachers first, researchers second. They dedicate their careers to helping you learn and understand the significance of understanding Computer Information Technology in an increasingly digital world.

You learn the same material studied at 4-year schools, while you receive the personal attention and feedback possible only in small class sizes.
