What You Will Learn

A new Radiography class is selected for each fall semester.

Pre-Professional Phase

This phase is the students who are currently not enrolled in or eligible for admission into the professional Radiography courses phase. Students in this phase can take all of the general education and speech fundamentals required for the Radiography major. They can study full or part time and in the day or evening. All seven pre-requisites must be completed by the end of the spring semester. Admission into the professional phase is not guaranteed once preprofessional course work is completed.

Professional Phase

The Radiography Program is strictly a day program (no evenings or weekends). The candidate will complete 1100 hours in didactic courses and 1500 hours in clinical education. Interested candidates must attend one of the eight mandatory information sessions. The information sessions are held once a month from June until February. The information session dates are on the program’s webpage. The information session will provide the candidate with program’s check sheet program application and brochure. The deadline for the program application is March 1. Candidates must be accepted for admission to the college before the program application can be filed.

Why Study Radiography at CCM?

The Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Radiography at CCM is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills to enter the field of radiography. The curriculum includes a general education foundation and 45 credits in courses pertinent to the development of competency in diagnostic radiography.

The CCM Radiography Program stands out because of its family environment, caring faculty and emphasis on professionalism. Skilled full-time and adjunct clinical instructors with over 40 years of experience in the field of Radiography utilize the energized radiography lab on campus, plus seven clinical affiliates for clinical education. The bar is set high for this Program and the students who engage in all that the Program offers will be the ones who experience the highest success.

Accreditation

The Radiography Program has been accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology for eight years
