Emergency Medical Technician COEEmergency Medical Technician BrochureThe Emergency Medical Services program is designed for students who desire a career in pre-hospital emergency medicine. The program provides the student with the theoretical and practical preparation to qualify the successful graduate at four levels of service:
- EMR-Emergency Medical Responder
- EMT-Emergency Medical Technician
- AEMT-Advanced Emergency Medical Technician or
- Paramedic-EMT-Paramedic
- Associate of Applied Science in Paramedic
Upon successful completion of a level, the graduate is eligible to take the New Mexico State Licensure and/or National Registry of EMT’s examination. ENMU‑Roswell offers refresher courses for all levels of service and continuing education courses that are of interest to the Medical and Emergency Medical Services community. ENMU-Roswell is also a full American Heart Association Training Center.
The Paramedic Program is accredited by the Committee on Accreditation of Allied Health Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Service Professions.
