What is Industrial Maintenance Technology?

If you enjoy a hands-on approach and want to install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, and processes used in manufacturing and industrial firms, Industrial Maintenance is for you.

What are my career choices?

The Industrial Maintenance Technology degree or diploma will prepare you for careers with large and small businesses and industries seeking highly trained maintenance employees.

What classes do I have to take?

If you choose a diploma, you will only need a few general education classes and technical electives (7 credit hours) along with the core classes of blueprint reading, basic electricity, fluid power, SMAW welding, and maintaining industrial equipment.  The degree option requires more general education classes and technical electives (10 credit hours) along with the core courses.

There are no specific requirements to work in this field beyond completion of the program.

Where do I start?

Apply for admission to ECTC to receive information from the Admissions Office about submitting your placement test scores (ACT or other exams) and to schedule a meeting with an advisor to register for your classes.

Length of Program

You can earn an Associate in Applied Science degree in two years if you maintain full-time status.
