Advanced Emergency Medical Technician

The Advanced Emergency Medical Technician course will provide students the information, skills and attitudes necessary for certification and practice as an AEMT. This course will provide those who already hold an EMT license with the next level of advanced skills and training needed for life support services provided in a pre-hospital emergency situation.

Program Options

AEMT is a one-semester course and is Kansas Board of Emergency Medical Services approved. Students that successfully complete the course will be prepared to take the state certification exam.

Prerequisites

  • Students must have a Current Kansas EMT certification prior to enrolling in this program.
