This is a Continuing Education & Workforce Development program. While CEWD courses do not provide academic credits, participants experience affordable, flexible, and rewarding programs, with select courses offering industry recognized training for licensure and career certification at the state and national level. With courses in SMAW, GMAW, and GTAW, students have the opportunity to earn 2G, 3G, and 4G SMAW welding certifications. Upon successful completion, students with the right credentials and up-to-date training often have the best job prospects and an advantage in the marketplace.

Successful completion of this non-credit program can result in eligible academic credit conversion.

Frederick County Public School students may receive free tuition through Dual Enrollment at FCC for all courses. Fee and book scholarships may be available for select programs. Students should speak with their high school counselor first if they plan to enroll in an FCC workforce development course or program.
