Welcome to the GTI's Automotive Service Technology website page.  I am a Graduate of both James A Shanks High School and Gadsden Technical Institute in the class of 1975.  After graduating from Gadsden Technical I went in to business for myself in 1980 until present. I am ASE Certified with 37 years of working experience doing repairs in all facets. I feel very fortunate to have been asked to be a part of our Vocational education process, where we affect the lives of so many especially our youth to which are our future. I vow to share my wealth of automotive knowledge with all my students. The primary Goal that I have for each of them is to be Program completers along with an ASE Industry Certification. We follow the Florida Department of Education curriculum Framework  Program number T400700  Standard length 1050 Hours. If you choose to take our class you will get the Best I have to offer.

Automotive Service Technology 1 Curriculum

This program offers a sequence of courses that provides coherent and rigorous content aligned with challenging academic standards and relevant technical knowledge and skills needed to prepare for further education and careers in the Transportation, Distribution and Logistics career cluster; provides technical skill proficiency, and includes competency-based applied learning that contributes to the academic knowledge, higher-order reasoning and problem-solving skills, work attitudes, general employability skills, technical skills, and occupation-specific skills, and knowledge of all aspects of the Transportation, Distribution and Logistics career cluster.

Program Structure

This program is a planned sequence of instruction consisting of five occupational completion points.
