Course Detail: DEMR-2012 - Diesel Engine Testing and Repair II

Diesel I is typically offered in the Fall and Diesel II is offered in the Spring.This program provides students seeking a career in diesel technology the skills necessary to successfully enter the workforce.Topics include the use of engine measuring tools and the principles of operations for major engine components. Students are briefed on the materials needed to take the ASE test of Diesel Engines.A class set of textbooks is included in tuition. Students must wear long sleeve shirts and pants in the shop. High School diploma or high school equivalent is required.Classes are held at the Ball High Automotive Center. Successful students should be well-prepared for the ASE-Entry Level-Medium /Heavy Truck Diesel Engines exam, and will earn an Occupational Skills award upon the completion of both Diesel Engine and Testing Repair 1 and 2. This course is eligible for a TPEG grant and a payment plan.
