What is Automotive Technology

If you love cars and enjoy solving problems, a career as an auto mechanic may be for you. Today's automotive technicians work on integrated electronic systems and complex computers that regulate modern vehicles. Our hands-on Automotive Technology program enables you to troubleshoot, perform preventative maintenance, service and repair automobiles.

Accreditation

The Automotive Technology program at Gateway is accredited by the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Education Foundation, and students have the opportunity to take tests leading to certification by ASE.

Length of Program

You can earn an Associate in Applied Science degree in two years if you maintain full-time status.
