Computed Tomography

Do you want a career as a key player on a healthcare team that plays a vital role in diagnosing patients? In order to diagnose injury and illness, a physician will rely on medical imaging conducted by an MRI tech, CT tech, or nuclear medicine technologist. These technicians use radiation or magnetic fields to produce images of organs and soft tissue with specialized equipment, which are recorded on x-ray film or displayed on a video monitor and used to diagnose a disease or an acute condition.

The Computed Tomography program is made up of both academic coursework and clinical skills experience that is designed to prepare you for professional certification in this field. Our expert faculty will teach you how to interpret orders for diagnostic imaging procedures, apply radiation safety in a clinical setting, effectively communicate, and so much more! Once certified, you’ll be able to work in hospitals or medical imaging centers as an MRI tech, CT tech, nuclear medicine technologist, or radiologic tech.

If you want to start on a bold new career helping others, make it happen with the Computed Tomography program today.

Students at any Maricopa Community College may need to complete courses at more than one of our colleges.

Accreditation

Accreditation is a process used to measure and certify the credibility and quality of services offered by an organization.

GateWay is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

Why should you choose an accredited school?

Although many schools offer seemingly similar degree and certification options, not all schools are accredited. In many instances, accreditation of the degree or program you complete may be required in order to become certified to work in the field.
