Carpentry Technology-Concrete Forming and Placement Certificate


16 Credits

This certificate prepares students to find employment with residential specialty and/or general contractor whose primary focus is foundations and/or concrete flatwork. The core skills acquired are location and forming concrete foundations for houses and constructing them level, plumb and square and to code or engineered specifications. In addition, students will develop skills with specialty tools and material related to foundation and/or flatwork, as well as how to calculate, order and place concrete in forms and finish specifications. This certificate also meets two of the CEATT (Carpenters Employers Apprenticeship Training Trust) Preferred Enrollment and Advance Placement Requirements.
