CCC.LAS.TECH (12 Credit Hours) | Part of the Engineering Subject

The laser and photonics certificate prepares you for employment as an electrical and electronics technician, electronics engineering technician, or related electronics occupations.

This program includes the Florida core electronics competencies as identified in the electronics industry. Graduates of this program will be able to assemble, install, operate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electronics equipment.

Coursework applies to the engineering technology AS degree program.

This curriculum is from the current college catalog and is meant to provide prospective students an example of courses taken in this degree/certificate.  It is not intended to be used for graduation requirements. Students should consult an advisor for graduation information.

YEAR I – First Semester
†EET 1036C Basic AC and DC - 3 cr.

YEAR I – Second Semester
†EET 1141C Solid State Devices - 3 cr.

YEAR II – First Semester
†ETS 2210C Introduction to Photonics - 3 cr.

YEAR II – Second Semester
†ETS 2230C Introduction to Lasers - 3 cr.

NOTE: Coursework may be applied to the two-year AS degree Electronics Engineering Technology program.
