Web Design and Development

The Associate of Applied Science Degree in Web Design and Development at Independence Community College offers Online and On ground courses available for all Web Design and Development program classes and Computer Science classes. The curriculum offers Hands-on learning opportunities which turns the classroom space into a life-like setting, allowing students to practice what they are learning, both individually and as teams. Web Design is ranked #5 of jobs in the greatest demand.

The Web Design program also offers a Certificate that a student can complete in 2-4 semesters putting them in a position to obtain employment in their desired field while they complete their educational goal

Upon completion of the program students will:
1.    Students will be able to apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills required to successfully design and implement a web site.
 
2.    Students will be able to demonstrate the ability to analyze, identify and define the technology required to build and implement a web site.
 
3.    Students will be able to demonstrate knowledge of artistic and design components that are used in the creation of a web site.
 
4. Students will be able to utilize and apply the technical, ethical, and interpersonal skills, needed to function in a cooperative environment.
