What is Medical Assisting?

Work alongside physicians as a multi-skilled healthcare professional in the high demand field. Medical assistants work in ambulatory settings, such as physician's offices, clinics, and group practices. The Medical Assisting program is designed to train students to assist the needs of the private physicians.

Students are required to attend a pre-admission conference for this program.

These multiskilled personnel can perform administrative and clinical procedures. Physicians value the unique versatility of the Medical Assistant, and the profession is expanding rapidly in the community.

Length of Program

You can earn an associate in applied science degree in two years if you maintain full-time status. The diploma track takes 16 months to complete.
