Kirkwood is the affordable option! We offer more than $3 million in scholarships every year.

Students in this program may be eligible for tuition assistance through the Kibbie Grant or Last Dollar Scholarship.

Graduates of the CAD/Mechanical Engineering Technology program will be able to:

  • Demonstrate mechanical engineering problem-solving skills in an efficient and orderly fashion for the successful completion of a design or analysis.
  • Exhibit proficient operator/user skills with CAD modeling software and office software.
  • Communicate effectively with technicians, engineers, and company personnel.
  • Contribute as a team member to accomplish a specific goal.
  • Identify design problems and troubleshoot to arrive at workable solutions.
  • Perform math skills related to the solution of mechanical engineering problems.
  • Design a manufacturable, inspectable, functional, and reliable product.

Completion of a program conference is required to be admitted to the program. You’ll learn more about the program as well as specific admissions requirements.

Anyone interested in CAD/Mechanical Engineering Technology can complete a program conference in two ways:
