Criminal Justice


Welcome to the Criminal Justice Department!

Labette Community College offers an Associate in Science degree in Criminal Justice. The degree is designed for a student planning to transfer to a four-year institution with a study concentration in administration and management. Classes are available daytime, evening, and online. Upon graduation students will be able to pursue careers in a variety of criminal justice fields. Students also have the option to transfer to a four-year university or college to further their studies. 
 
Individuals who have attended the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center (KLETC) or Military MP service may be eligible to receive credit for some courses.

 


Careers in Criminal Justice

  • Local Level
    Police and sheriff departments, correctional institutions, and probation agencies.

  • State Level

    State patrol agencies, state bureaus of investigation, state correctional facilities, probation and parole agencies.

  • Federal Level

    Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, & Firearms, Secret Service, U.S. Marshall's Office, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Federal Bureau of Prisons.
