Medical Coding

An integral part of the health profession, converting medical services into codes

Medical coding is one of the fastest growing professions in the current job market. Medical coders convert health diagnoses, procedures, medical services and equipment into universal medical codes and make sure they are applied correctly for medical billing purposes. LLCC Medical Coding includes CPT and ICD-10 coding along with human anatomy and physiology, medical insurance billing and an internship. Upon completion of the program, students may choose to receive professional certification in the medical coding field. Graduates of our program work in physician’s offices and hospitals, while others are self-employed.

Twenty-four students are admitted each fall semester. Application deadline is the last business day in June.
