Cyber Information Assurance (CIA)
Overview
Completing the Certificate in Cybersecurity Information Assurance allows students to manage network security.
Cybersecurity workers protect our most sensitive data. The Cybersecurity Information Assurance certificate is the study of introductory levels of security processes based on a security policy, emphasizing hands-on skills in the areas of secure perimeter, security connectivity, security management, identity services, and intrusion detection. The certificate is based upon the Department of Defense 8570 standard, now 8140, the NICE framework, and the Department of Homeland Security/National Security Agency CAE guidelines.

Students are better qualified and more employable if they acquire course-related certifications by taking an external exam, offered by a third-party vendor, at the end of the course. These exams cost, on average, $250 each.
