Machine Tool
Overview
The Diploma in Machine Tool provides the student with the basic skills in manual machining to enter the manufacturing or machining industry.
Students will learn the knowledge and skills necessary to obtain entry-level jobs in a variety of manufacturing environments, as well as the potential to advance to supervisory, sales and training positions. Students develop skills in the use of precision layout tools, layout techniques, and the setup and operation of mills, lathes, grinders, and other important conventional machines found in a machine shop.
Students are required to purchase a set of tools when beginning the Machine Tool Technology Program at a cost of approximately $800.
