Air Conditioning Technology

NGTC’s Air Conditioning Technology program offers both men and women excellent employment opportunities. As a conditioned-air specialist, you may work alone or with a team, work outdoors or stay in an office, work for others or be your own boss – the opportunities are endless!

Students have the option of pursuing either a degree or diploma in Air Conditioning Technology. Graduates are prepared for positions as entry-level technicians in the refrigeration, air conditioning, and heating fields.

The programs emphasize a combination of refrigeration, air conditioning and heating theory, and practical application necessary for successful employment.

The Air Conditioning Technology Associate of Applied Science degree program prepares students for careers in the air conditioning industry. Learning opportunities develop academic, occupational, and professional knowledge and skills required for job acquisition, retention, and advancement. The program emphasizes a combination of theory and practical application necessary for successful employment. Graduates of the program receive an Air Conditioning Technology Associate of Applied Science degree.

Diploma

The Air Conditioning Technology diploma program is a sequence of courses that prepares students for careers in the air conditioning industry. Learning opportunities develop academic, occupational, and professional knowledge and skills required for job acquisition, retention, and advancement. The program emphasizes a combination of air conditioning theory and practical application necessary for successful employment. Program graduates receive an Air Conditioning Technology diploma and have the qualifications of an air conditioning technician.
