Criminal Justice

NGTC’s Criminal Justice Technology diploma and degree programs prepare graduates to pursue diverse opportunities in the corrections, security, investigative, and police administration fields. 

To better serve our students, all the core Criminal Justice classes are available in an online format making it an excellent option for those needing a flexible class schedule.

NGTC has agreements with other institutions which will allow our criminal justice graduates to pursue higher education through articulated credit. Several colleges, including Piedmont University and Mercer University, have agreements with NGTC which allow Criminal Justice AAS degree graduates the opportunity to pursue a bachelor’s degree.

The Criminal Justice Technology associate degree program is a sequence of courses that prepares students for Criminal Justice professions. Learning opportunities develop academic, occupational, and professional knowledge and skills required for job acquisition, retention, and advancement. Program graduates receive a Criminal Justice Technology associate degree.

Graduates who are current practitioners will benefit through the enhancement of career potential. Entry-level persons will be prepared to pursue diverse opportunities in the corrections, security, investigative, and police administration fields. Completion of the Criminal Justice Technology associate degree does not ensure certification of officer status in Georgia. Students must seek such certification from the Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.) Council.
