Employers are trying to reduce costs and increase the availability and efficiency of legal services by hiring paralegals to perform tasks previously done by attorneys. Paralegals are performing a wider variety of duties, making them more valuable to businesses. Competition for jobs is expected to continue as many people seek to go into this profession. Experienced, formally trained paralegals should have the best employment opportunities.

According to the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity, Labor Market Statistics, annual salaries for paralegals range from $28,800 to $42,000. Salaries vary greatly depending on education, training, experience and size of employer.
