Program Purpose:

This program is designed to introduce students to the field’s central concept of how mechanics, electronics, and computers are integrated using automated hydraulic and pneumatic control systems.

What will I learn?

Students successfully completing this program will be able to…

  • Conduct standard tests and measurements; to conduct, analyze, and interpret experiments; and to apply experimental results to improve processes.
  • Design systems, components, or processes of broadly-defined engineering technology problems.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the impact of engineering solutions in a societal and global context.
  • Select and apply the knowledge, techniques, skills, and modern tools of mechatronics engineering technology to broadly-defined engineering technology activities including proficiency in mechanical design, materials, manufacturing processes and automation.

How long will I need to be in college?

A college-ready student attending Camp full-time can complete this associate degree in two years.

What job or career can I get with this degree?

Upon completion of the program, graduates will possess the knowledge and skills required to become mechanical operators, mechanical service technicians, maintenance instrument technicians, instrument and electrical technicians, process technicians, maintenance and manufacturing technicians, robot product consultants in the fields of electronics, mechanics, software tech, math, physics and medicine.
