Carpenter/ Scaffolding

RPCC COURSE: SCAFFOLDING

Industrial scaffolding is a high-skill, high-wage, high-demand profession. During industrial turnarounds, shutdowns, and outages, scaffold builders are the first to enter a project and the last to leave. Average wages for an entry-level scaffold builder range anywhere from $14 to $17 per hour, with work schedules ranging from 5 to 7 days a week, 8-10 hours per day, making industrial scaffolding a lucrative career option for many.

Basic Access, Industrial Scaffolding (BAIS)

Training for an entry-level helper. This course condenses 6-7 months of on-the-job-training into 2 weeks. Trainees are an immediate asset in the field upon graduation from the course. Students receive training on professionalism, time management, fall protection, scaffold safety, proper tie-off, material inspection and learn how to erect and dismantle 4 different types of system scaffold.

This assessment-only process is only 2 days and will be held on the first Wednesday and Thursday of the month.
