Surveying Engineering Technologies, A.A.S. (Gloucester)

​​​The Surveying Engineering Technology Program is designed for students interested in seeking gainful employment as land survey technicians or apprentices.  This program also prepares students to transfer to a four-year B.S. Surveying Engineering Technology program.  The program curriculum provides students with plenty of hands-on experience using the latest technology in the field.

Program Goals
Students who have completed the program will be able to:

  • Demonstrate and apply the basic principles of land, route, and construction surveying
  • Utilize modern measurement technologies to acquire spatial data
  • Employ industry-standard software to solve technical problems​

The New Jersey Society of Professional Land Surveyors, in partnership with Rowan College has developed an apprenticeship program to train the next generation of surveyor technicians. This program is registered with the United States Department of Labor, Office of Apprenticeship and meets all federal and state formal apprenticeship requirements including classroom instruction and on-the-job training.
