Then Robotics and Automation Technology (Mechatronics) is the field of study you want to pursue. Mechatronics is the electronic and computer control of mechanical systems for a wide variety of industrial and commercial processes including automation and industrial robotics. This is a two-year program and upon completion, students will earn two industry certifications from FANUC America Corporation, the leading supplier of robotic automation in the world.

What can I do with my degree/certificate?

The Automation Technology program will prepare you for a career working in a facility that relies on robots, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and electronic and pneumatic systems. As an Automation Technician, you'll learn how to work with robotic and electronic-based systems capable of operating without human input or control. Automation Technicians monitor production equipment, oversee their performance, and maintain automated mechanical equipment.
