The areas of specialization include: engine repair technician, automatic 
transmission and transaxle technician, manual drive train and axle technician, automotive suspension and steering technician, automotive brake system technician, automotive electrical/electronic system technician, automotive heating and air conditioning technician and automobile engine performance technician.
During the course of the program the student will learn to diagnose and repair:
Brake Hydraulic, Mechanical and ABS Systems
Engine Cooling, Exhaust, and Timing Belts/Chains
Engine Mechanical Problems to include internal component replacement
On Board Diagnostics Computer Controlled Systems
Steering and Suspension Systems

While at Haney Technical College students will train on a variety of shop equipment to ensure they are a well-qualified employment candidate when they graduate the program.

The purpose of this program is to prepare students for employment and /or specialized training in the automotive industry. Continuing workforce training for persons previously or currently employed in the automotive industry is also provided.

Students must have successfully completed Automotive Service Technology I before being permitted to enroll in Automotive Service Technology II.
