Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy assistants make a difference in people's lives by helping them be as independent as possible when physical, psychological, or social challenges prevent them from doing everyday things that give their lives meaning. They work with clients from newborns to older adults in a variety of settings, including hospitals, rehabilitation centers, schools, and nursing homes.

University of Arkansas - Pulaski Technical College is partnered with Baptist Health College Little Rock (BHCLR) to offer an Associate of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy Assistant. The Occupational Therapy Assistant program is a two-year, full-time program taught at BHCLR. Admission is competitive and interview-based through BHCLR. Eighteen students are selected annually. Coursework follows the UA-PTC academic calendar and is composed of classroom and clinical experiences. A total of 70 hours are required for this degree. Additional program information, including program outcomes, progression, retention, graduation, certification and credentialing requirements can be found on the BHCLR Occupational Therapy Assistant webpage at Associate of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy Assistant.
