Career Outlook

Hawaii has seen faster than average employment growth in Law Enforcement, Corrections, and Natural Resource Conservation and Enforcement. Qualified applicants are also continuously being sought to fill vacant positions for Police Dispatchers, Agriculture and Customs inspectors, as well as numerous positions in the field of Private Security. In addition to meeting pre-employment requirements (minimum age, education, drivers license), most positions also require passing aptitude, strength, and general health examinations.  Comprehensive criminal and character background investigations should be expected.
