Network and Security Administration (AS)

Earn your associate degree in network and security administration

Choose to complete your Associate of Science in Network and Security Administration degree 100% online or on Dakota State University’s campus. With an associate degree from DSU, you’ll learn the fundamentals of computer systems and security to install, maintain, and secure inner-connected networks. Through hands-on learning, you’ll build the skills to administer and troubleshoot network security and infrastructure systems like firewalls, operating systems, servers, routers, and switches.

This program will prepare you for a career in system administration with cybersecurity skills in defensive hacking, penetration testing, and network forensics. You’ll be equipped to implement and safeguard any organization’s computer system and network infrastructure, making you ready to become a valuable IT professional.

Online or on-campus courses

The network and security administration associate degree program is offered 100% online or on campus. Whether you are a traditional student or a working professional, the flexible program allows you to complete your degree in the way it works best for you, online or on-campus, and as a full-time or part-time student. You’ll receive exceptional hands-on experience and expert instruction in all of our courses.

Complete your associate degree in as little as 18 months

Fast-track your education with the option to complete your associate degree in network and security administration in only 18 months. If you choose the accelerated option, you’ll take courses as a full-time student, averaging 15 credits each semester over four consecutive semesters. Courses are offered in the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters, allowing you to complete your degree in two years or less.
