Criminal Justice Academy Track

The A.S. Criminal Justice Law Enforcement Academy Track is a program designed to provide students the education, training, and skills needed for a successful law enforcement career. This program prepares students for the career field as a sworn law enforcement officer in the state of Florida. Students in this track will have the opportunity to complete the A.S. Criminal Justice degree as well as the Basic Law Enforcement Academy. Students must successfully complete all requirements for the A.S. degree and requisite training blocks for the law enforcement academy as well as pass the State Officer Certification Examination (SOCE). 

Students may complete the general education and criminal justice courses for the degree online or at one of the main regional campuses. Students must meet all admissions requirements for the law enforcement academy, including passing the Physical Abilities Test (PAT), as they approach their final semester within the degree program. The Basic Law Enforcement Academy is located within the Criminal Justice Institute at the School of Public Safety.
