Electronics Technology

VC’s Electronics & Instrumentation Technology Program offers both a two-year Associate of Applied Science degree in electronics/instrumentation technology with a specialization in electronics and an Electronics Technology Certificate. The certificate program includes classes that will satisfy requirements for the associate degree, so students may choose to begin with the certificate program and then easily move on to the degree program in the future.

Either of these options will provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary to pursue entry-level positions as an electronics technician.

Electronic technicians install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and replace electronic equipment to maintain quality products and ensure environmental protection, safety, and cost-effective operations. As an electronics technician, you may work in any of a variety of industries such as manufacturing, radio, television, medical equipment, research and development, and many others.
