This program addresses the growing need for highly professional, competent technicians in automotive dealerships. Learn on the latest automotive vehicles, components, educational materials and cutting-edge equipment available. Develop knowledge on engines, fuel management, electronics, transmissions/transaxles, brakes and air conditioning.

This specialized program emphasizes repairing, servicing and maintaining vehicles within the General Motors (GM) brand.

This program includes general studies courses that help round out your education and college transfer options.

How To Apply

  • Apply online and pay the $30 application fee.
  • Submit a copy of one of the following to demonstrate your reading, writing and math skills:
      • High school GPA of 2.60 or above. Transcript must include completed coursework through the 11th grade.*
      • ACT, ACCUPLACER® or GED - 2014 Series (165 or higher).*
      • Prior college coursework may meet this requirement in whole or in part. Courses must be in the specific area(s), and you must have earned a grade of C or better (2.0 on a 4.0 scale) in the courses.*
      • If none of the above apply, sign up for the ACCUPLACER® placement test.

*Unofficial copies of these documents can be sent to admissions@wctc.edu.

  • Begin the process of securing a dealer sponsor. Prior to October 1 of your first semester, submit the sponsor approval form by email to Mark Rzeznik.

This program is a partnership between WCTC and General Motors (GM). Training takes place at WCTC classrooms/labs and a sponsoring GM dealership or ACDelco Professional Service Center (PSC) internship site.
