Welding - Structural Welding Certificate

The Structural Welding certificate prepares students for employment in positions requiring competency in the field of welding. Coursework may upgrade skills and assist in career advancement for currently employed welders.

Program Outcomes

Upon successful completion of the Welding - Structural Certificate program, the learner will be able to:

  1. Use welding safety procedures. (WLD130, 140, 145)
  2. Interpret welding blueprints. (WLD 130, 140, 156)
  3. Operate oxyacetylene equipment to weld, cut, braze,and braze weld to industry requirements. (WLD130, 145)
  4. Operate shielded metal arc welding equipment to industry requirements. (WLD140, 145)
