The Long-Term Care Nurse Assistant program offers several opportunities for employment in the health-care industry, and opportunities to help with many aspects of patient care. Classroom lecture, simulated labs and supervised clinical experience in long-term care facilities are combined to provide the basic nursing skills and knowledge necessary for students to give patient care appropriately and safely. Upon successful completion (C or better grade) students are eligible for employment in health-care facilities and to apply for the State of Michigan Competency test.
