Phlebotomy Technician

Overview & Courses
Phlebotomists draw blood from a patient for clinical or medical testing, transfusions, or blood donations. Anyone who chooses this field should be comfortable with blood, needles, and blood vials. Students are trained to perform a variety of blood collection methods with an emphasis on safety, quality assurance, patient identification, and specimen handling. During the practicum, students will be assigned to work in a clinical facility and receive hands-on training in the field. The cost of a national certification exam is included in this program.
Prerequisites for Clinical Practicum: At least 18 years of age with a High School Diploma or High School Equivalency (HSE), must pass a criminal background check and prepare to complete Immunizations, CPR requirements, & Drug Screen prior to a program deadline.
Cost: $2,147.50 includes textbook(s)

You can sign up for a course by filling out the request form. Someone from our team will contact you to complete your registration.
Register in Person With Our Team
To register in person, visit the Community Engagement & Apprenticeship office located in the Bonnen Central building at Brazosport College, office B-100.
