Program Description
Oklahoma City Community College is pleased and proud to offer the first and only Anesthesia Technology (A.T.T.) program in Oklahoma. One of only a handful of programs in the country, we are at the cutting edge of graduating anesthesia technologists to assist anesthesia providers in the provision of safe, ethical, and highly technical care of patients at their most vulnerable. You can earn an associate degree in applied science in the anesthesia technology program by completing 64-66 credit hours – 34-36 hours of prerequisites and general education which prepare you for the 30 hours of focused anesthesia technology theory, laboratory practicums and clinical experiences. As a growing allied health profession, the Anesthesia Technology profession specifically focuses on basic fundamentals and advanced clinical procedures which assist the anesthesia provider in the safe and efficient care of patients receiving anesthesia. Working under the direction of the anesthesia provider, the Anesthesia Technologist is a vital member of the anesthesia care team.
