Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a medical imaging modality that utilizes the resonant frequency properties of atoms that are placed within a powerful magnetic field. MRI provides excellent contrast between different soft tissues of the body making it especially useful in neurological (brain), musculoskeletal, and cardiovascular imaging. The MRI program is offered to imaging professionals with a primary current certification in one of the following areas: Radiology R.T.(R)(ARRT), Sonography (ARRT or RDMS), Nuclear Medicine R.T.(N)(ARRT or NMTCB), or Radiation Therapy (R.T.
