Description

IMPORTANT NOTICE

The College is not accepting incoming applications for the fall 2024 academic year. The next opportunity to begin this program will be in Fall 2025.

Information and Network Technology is focused on the design, implementation, and configuration of network servers, and their integration into a modern enterprise network.

The Information and Network Technology program at MATC covers both hardware and software aspects of IT. The core of the program is designed around the Cisco CCNA curriculum. Specific topics include:

  • Network analysis
  • System reliability
  • Network security
  • Fault tolerance
  • Operating systems
  • Computer and network hardware
  • Asset management

The above skills are brought together and applied with the CCNA curriculum through hands-on configuration and management of enterprise devices.

Successful Network Technicians must be adaptable, self-learners with good spatial, logical, and organizational skills. Strong math skills are not required but do generally indicate the individual’s problem-solving ability.

This program also aligns with the Kansas Board of Regents curriculum.
