Program Description

This noncredit, 9 month, 368 hour, 6 course program prepares you to work in the high-demand profession of Industrial Maintenance. Industrial Maintenance Technicians typically earn wages between $14 and $23 per hour. In the IMT program, you will learn basic knowledge and skills necessary to assemble, install, troubleshoot, repair, and modify various types of equipment and automated systems in manufacturing and commercial facilities. You learn to interact with other team members, operators, suppliers, and customers to perform your job responsibilities and help improve the company's competitiveness. Upon successful completion, you will be awarded an Industrial Maintenance Technician Level 1 Certificate. Successful completers may also request the transfer of up to 9 hours of coursework for credit in Grayson College’s Advanced Manufacturing OR Electrical Technology programs.
