Medical Scribe Specialist

Overview

The Medical Scribe Specialist program in a comprehensive overview of Law and Ethics, HIPAA, as well as refreshers of Medical Terminology, grammar and writing, as well as simulated patient record documenting to help students prepare for the fast-paced environment of a medical office.

This 12-week accelerated Medical Scribe Specialists course will address training competencies required for the ACMSS certification. Through lecture, review, training, and practice of electronic health record input and documentation management, students will prepare to assist healthcare providers in a clinical setting with activities of patient medical record documentation.
